SF Metrics Meetup: Sensu | OpenTSDB

Nik Wekwerth

January's SF Metrics Meetup featured a Sensu talk by Nick Stielau (Pantheon) & Jeremy Carroll (Pinterest) and an OpenTSDB talk by Benoit Sigoure (Arista Networks) & Jonathan Creasy (Box). Heroku was the generous host who not only let us use their amazing facility but also provided us with food and beverages - thank you Heroku!

For those of you who couldn't make it, here are the recordings:

Metrics with Sensu

Nick Stielau Pantheon & Jeremy Carroll, Pinterest.

This talk was about about Sensu, a flexible metrics and monitoring 'bus' that makes it easy to start collecting metrics and getting them to all the right places.

Using OpenTSDB at scale at Box

Benoit (Tsuna) Sigoure, Arista Networks & Jonathan Creasy, Box.

Benoit and Jonathan talked about how OpenTSDB changed Box's monitoring philosophy and allowed them to instrument and monitor more than ever, more easily than ever.
