Quantifiers of the world unite!

It was with shock and bewilderment that we realized that San Francisco didn't have a monitoring related Meetup despite the droves of data nerds and graph addicts. We had to fix that so we started the

San Francisco Metrics Meetup

It is for people who love data, analytics, visualization, and all the tools, libraries, and processes that go with it.

Our first Meetup

On May 2nd we held our first Meetup. Engine Yard was kind enough to sponsor the event, not only providing the space but also beer and pizza. For those of you who couldn't make it - we recorded the talks:

Mike Bostock from Square talked about Time Series Visualization:

Mike's slides are here.

Matt Sanders from Librato talked about Digging Deep with ActiveSupport::Notifications:

A slightly more detailed version of Matt's slide deck is available on Speaker Deck.

The next Meetup will be hosted by Atlassian on June 6th and features speakers from Heroku and Atlassian. Learn more about the event and sign up!

We're always on the lookout for new topics/speakers, so if you're working on new tools, visualizations, or analyses let us know!
